Anita Barone
Anita Barone, a stage actress with a range of talents, who's mostly associated with sitcoms in TV, got the best chance to shine as Jeff Foxworthy's spouse on the ABC show "The Jeff Foxworthy Show" that aired for a single season between 1995 and 1996. Barone had her first appearance on stage when she was five in Detroit in the city where she brought up after her family relocated out of St Louis. By age 23 Barone had performed in more than 50 productions mostly at university productions as well as regional theatres. The stage credits she played included Juliet from Romeo and Juliet, Helen Keller in an adaptation of "Monday after the Miracle", and the role as Agnes the young, gruesome the nun from "Agnes of the Gods." Her debut on screen was a minor role in "The Rosary Murders", a cameo in "Ricochet" in 1996, as well as her role as the main character in an indie romantic comedy "Just Friends" that was released in the year 1996. But Barone's first Hollywood employment of note was as a member of the company that owns "Carol And Company" (NBC in 1990 and 1991) in the disastrous effort by Carol Burnett to revive the variety show/comedy program. Barone made an appearance on"Wounded Heart," a USA Network movie "Wounded Heart" in 1995. Barone returned to sitcoms with a weekly schedule, co-starring in "Daddio", NBC 2000 together with Michael Chiklis.
