Maureen FitzSimons' early achievements in the performing arts (now called Maureen O'Hara), would have placed her, in America's eyes, into the class of child prodigies. For a child with Irish heritage, and surrounded as her by talented parents, and her family did this naturally. Maureen moved into this loving home on August 17, 20 in Ranelagh. Marguerita FitzSimons' mom, Lilburn, was an contralto. Charles FitzSimons ran a Dublin business, and held shares of the Irish soccer team Shamrock Rovers. Maureen FitzSimons is the 2nd child from Charles FitzSimons. Peggy FitzSimons, Florrie Fitzsimons Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons rounded out this amazing family. Maureen did well in sports and enjoyed playing rough sports. She combined this interest with an equally natural gift to perform. She took home almost all Feis Award for Theater and Drama the country could give. When she was fourteen, she was admitted into the Abbey Theater, where her ambition was to study operatic singing as well as classical theater.
