Maureen Denise McCormick was born on the 5th of August 1956, in Woodland Hills California the youngest and sole daughter of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. Her father was a teacher as did her mother, who was a homemaker. There are three brothers older than her: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick was an accomplished artist and singer from a young age. She would put on shows with puppets for her neighbors. She was crowned the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest at age 6 and was contacted by Pat Domigan, a talent agent of the Jack Wormser Agency. He was interested in her desire to be a part of the business of show production. McCormick got her first big job in 1964 when she appeared in a commercial on television for Mattels latest doll, Baby Pattaburp. That same year, she starred in another commercial that aired on TV for Chatty-Cathy's doll. Soon afterward, McCormick was commissioned by La Jolla Playhouse to play the character of the character Wind It up before It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick, chosen from more than 200 auditioned kids, played the oldest of three double-headed daughters, in The Brady Bunch (1969) with Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The show lasted for five years. McCormick wrote in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady And Finding My True Voice Published In 2008 McCormick told of how in the fifth season of the show she almost lost the love of her life to her sister Barry Williams. In 2008, McCormick disclosed in her book Here's the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice that during season five of the show she almost lost her virginity to actor Barry Williams. She told me that it could be possible, however we didn't have the proper moment to make the decision.
